The incredible Folsom ScreenPro™ Plus!

In 2001, Folsom Research released the ScreenPro™ Plus multi-screen presentation switcher to it's line of products. ALP was one of the first companies to buy and use this incredible switcher, and we are extremely happy with the capabilities that it provides to our client's shows.

ALP now rents 2 versions of the ScreenPro™ Plus. We have the 1604 model, which allows for 16 inputs and can output to 4 separate screens and can control up to 6 screens! We also have the 1202 model, supporting 12 inputs and 2 screen outputs. Both systems can accept almost any conceivable analog video or data format inputs, with seamless, smooth transitions like dissolves, wipes, cuts, curtain-opens, and even multi-screen transitions from any input to any other input. It even supports luminance keying, picture-in-picture effects, and the 1604 can create and control wide-screen panoramic images, especially in conjunction with Folsom's BlendPro™ unit!

The system allows for video (including analog High Definition) and computer sources, including tape rolls, cameras for image magnification, PowerPoint computers, and more, to be placed onto multiple screens. This means that you can show I-MAG on one or more screens while having the PowerPoint presentation on other screens, all at the same time! And, you can easily, quickly and smoothly route the signals to any screen at any time.

Since the ScreenPro™ Plus contains a built-in router, you don't need to split your signals to multiple screen switchers, unlike other "multi-screen" systems. And, because it can control up to 6 separate dual-scalars, each screen receives the exact resolution that is perfect for the projector (know as the projector's "sweet spot"), giving you the absolute best quality projected image.

The system is very flexible, and quick to configure and operate, and even has programmable presets, to allow for complex settings to be stored for recall during the show.

The switcher has preview and program outputs for each screen, which allows the operator to see what is on the live screens in addition to previewing the next screen look. ALP has designed various multiple-monitor racks, which contain from 2 to 6 monitors for preview and program. These monitors are all multi-scan, high-resolution, and have anti-reflective flat screens.

ALP has designed it's road-cased systems to be very quick to set up and operate once they are on show site. Our main switcher case contains both the router rack and the remote control console, and can be operated while still in the case, or the control console can be removed from the case and run from a table that is built into the road case lid. Our largest monitor rack is also one single unit, containing 6 monitors and a VGA umbilical that connects all 6 monitors to the rack with one cable bundle. Our experience with touring and traveling shows has led us to this design, allowing for the quickest possible setup. The monitor case and the switcher rack both have removable caster plates for setting the equipment on tables, and yet allowing for easy mobility and transportation. We also have a system rack that has separate cases for the controller and mainframe, and smaller 2-monitor racks, for ease of transport or shipping.

As ALP has been operating Folsom ScreenPro™ Plus systems since they were first released, we have numerous highly-skilled operators with many hours of show experience on these switchers. We even provide operators for other production companies that own the ScreenPro™ Plus system and require an experienced person to operate it for their shows. We have operated systems for Medical and Pharmaceutical meetings, major live broadcast events like the Winston Cup Awards on TNN, national corporate tours, and much more.
