Below are some examples of Widescreen projection that ALP has done for various corporate clients as well as other production companies that hire ALP for our expertise in this very popular technology. We are proud to own the Folsom ScreenPRO Plus and BlendPRO system for creating multiple-projector panoramic images. We have been using this system since it was first released by Folsom, and are known nationally for our expertise in using this technology to create awesome looking wide screen images.
One of our customers, Bartha Visual, has hired ALP on numerous occasions to provide widescreen expertise. Below are a few pictures from shows for the "Experience Columbus" campaign put on by the city of Columbus, the Ohio Health Care Association, and NENA (National Emergency Number Association). We provided our Folsom switching and blending equipment, and used Bartha's projectors and screens up to 15' x 45'.
Another client that we provide with widescreen technology services is Promedia Production Group. In 2004 and 2005, we worked with their clients Bentley Systems and Lockheed Martin to do widescreen projection. In Bentley's case, we created a very large 51' x 17' image with multiple PIP's (Picture-In-Picture) to show IMAG, PowerPoint, and of course, Bentley's proprietary software.
ALP works with Staging Solutions, Inc. to create widescreen images for their customers, including recent events for GAZPROM and Jiffy Lube / Belay Productions. These pictures are of a 12' x 36 screen used for graphic support and background scenic elements.
Hi Tech has used ALP's expertise in creating some of their panoramic projections, including this unique event for Kimberly Clark that used front-projection onto scenic pieces made from white cardboard boxes. Behind the set pieces was rear-projection screen material that allowed for a complete image that was almost 80' wide. A center projector was used behind the screen to show the complete video image in the center of the stage.
Another option for creating panoramic projected images is using non-blended "butt-edge" projection. This means careful alignment of multiple projectors with images that don't overlap, but are right next to each other, creating the illusion of one large image. Of course, the blended projection gives much better results, but for our clients on a budget, this option is acceptable for many uses. These pictures are of an event ALP did for Southern AV, for their client Shaw-Ross importers. It uses a 10' x 30' rear-projection screen but created an image that was 8' x 30'.
An important consideration in doing widescreen projection is in the expertise and experience of the company doing the projection and widescreen engineering. Another thing to look at is the system being used to create the image. Is the equipment cased to allow for quick setup, or is it lots of individual pieces being put together to make the show work? ALP has created many panoramic projections for corporate clients and other production companies, and we have spent a lot of time and money to create complete systems for doing these images quickly and efficiently. The images below are examples of our Folsom ScreenPRO Plus switching system on various shows, using our 6-pack and 2-pack monitor racks, which allow for a clean look backstage, quick setup, and is something that very few other companies are using for these kinds of systems.
Please contact ALP to see how we can bring this exciting technology to your next show or event! |
